The V660 HDD Evo degausser is a high energy degaussing machine that offers hands-free erasure of magnetic media via its unique infrared remote control operation.
The Verity V660 HDD Evo degausser is designed to eliminate all data from hard drives and backup tapes including LTO, DLT, Super DLT AIT and more. With the V660 HDD Evo hard drive degausser, data is completely erased in less than 20 seconds, making it one of the fastest and most economical degaussers in the market. The V660 Evo won’t let you down – it comes with a 36-month warranty and lifetime support as standard.
Media Handing:

Erase Time:
12 seconds typ.
Magnetic Force:
7,000 Gauss
Throughput:
20 hard drives/40 back-up tapes per hour
Operation of the V660 HDD Evo could not be easier. The operator simply places the hard drive into the support on the top of the degausser, closes the cover and initiates the erase process by switching on the red “Power” button on the front of the V660’s control panel for 3-5 seconds or using the infrared remote control. The operator lifts the cover, rotates the media a quarter turn (90°) in the support, closes the cover and applies the magnetic force for a further 3-5 seconds. The operator then lifts the lid and flips the hard drive over and applies the magnetic force again for 3-5 seconds. For the final 4th cycle the operator lifts the lid rotates the media a quarter turn (90°) in the support, closes the cover and applies the magnetic force for 3-5 seconds. The media is now completely erased.
Transportation Case: An optional heavy-duty transportation case with wheels is available for the V660 HDD Evo, enabling you to safely transfer your degausser by road or air, ideal if you have a requirement to erase media at multiple locations. Click here for more information.
The V660 HDD Evo comes with an impressive 36 month back to base, all parts and labor included warranty. Extended warranties also available. We are so confident in our product build quality that whether you opt for an extended warranty or not, our factory-based technical support team are available for free phone and email support. This support extends for the entire lifetime of ownership.
The V660 HDD Evo is designed to help you comply with the following Government Mandates that require destruction of sensitive information stored on Hard Drives and Backup Tapes before their disposal.
With safety in mind and to meet the latest ICNIRP Magnetic Exposure Guidelines, the V660 HDD Evo’s field is concentrated near the top operational surface where the media is degaussed.
