PERFORMANCE STANDARD IN CD / DVD PRINTING

22nd November 2004: Verity Systems today announced the launch of their new CD/DVD printer, the OptiPrinter Pro. Building on the success of its predecessor, the OptiPrinter, the OptiPrinter Pro has additional features, enhanced quality, more efficient performance and improved styling.

Designed to focus on the most important aspects of disc printing: price, speed, quality and versatility, running costs for the OptiPrinter Pro are 50% less expensive than all of its direct competitors. "Unlike the majority of inkjet CD/DVD printers on the market today, the OptiPrinter Pro does not tie users to buying expensive ink cartridges," says Audrey Crawford, head of marketing at Verity Systems', "Instead, it uses standard, Hewlett-Packard cartridges which can be purchased from just about any high-street retailer or online store at very reasonable prices."

One set of cartridges will produce between 400 - 750 full colour discs, giving an average cost per disc of just £0.04 - £0.08. What's more, improvements in production methods have meant that Verity Systems are actually offering the OptiPrinter Pro at the low price of £799 (MSRP) and due to the overall savings achieved through the low cost cartridges, the initial cost of an OptiPrinter Pro can be recouped approximately three times quicker than other leading printer brands.

Developed in conjunction with Hewlett Packard, the OptiPrinter Pro includes a host of new features including:

· Six-colour printing
· HP's latest inkjet technology which means smaller droplet size so that ink dries quicker
· Printing speeds of up to 30% faster than its predecessor
· Combines with many existing auto-loaders for automated printing
