PM Distribution switches to Automated DVD Wrapping

December 2006: PM Distribution, Durham based DVD company chooses automatic DVD wrapping technology from Verity Systems. PM Distribution have switched technology as a result of increasing demand for professional looking DVD case overwrapping. Previously relying on a shrink wrap systems which involved individually wrapping DVD cases, PM Distribution has increased their output by investing in an automatic overwrapper which has the capacity to output 1200 DVDs per hour.

Martin Murphy of PM Distribution was pleased to discover Hampshire based manufacturer Verity Systems as their system is unique within the market as an automatic desktop DVD packaging machine for less than £10,800. “The systems was delivered and installed and with some minor adjustments it was ready to output DVDs immediately. I’m impressed with the versatility of the unit as we sometimes repackage DVDs which are in second hand cases and the machine never fails to give a perfect wrap”.

PM Distribution are about to order their next batch of cellophane rolls from Verity Systems which the DVD overwrapper uses to maintain constant DVD wrapping. Richard Brooks of PM Distribution notes that “we’re now on our 120,000th DVD meaning that we’ve already made our initial investment back. The price per DVD wrap is now so low we can afford to be highly competitive in the market for packaging DVDs”.

Also available from Verity Systems is an automatic system dedicated to CD jewel cases. The price for the CD Speed Wrapper is the same as the DVD version at £10,743 / €15,899. Semi-automatic systems offering the same high quality overwrap retail from just £2475. Both offerings compliment Verity Systems extensive range of CD and DVD copying and printing equipment.
